About

Healthy-U

Is designed to provide quality healthcare information backed by research and reviewed by medical professionals. We believe that taking an active role in your healthcare is crucial, and no one should feel left out of this conversation.

Whether you are seeking to learn more about mental health, nutrition or managing health conditions, the more you can learn about these challenges the more you can learn about yourself and your loved ones.

This allows us to be supportive of one another, and helps us safely and effectively navigate a complex healthcare system with plenty of pitfalls. During modern office visits it can feel all too easy for some of your concerns to get lost in the weeds.

The intent is to provide you with quality information to consider when speaking with healthcare professionals about your care, and make sure you get the answers you need. We hope that you find some information that helps you on your journey.

We follow a standardized process for reviewing products and services:

Product safety is important, especially in the over-the-counter supplement space. The FDA does not regulate these products directly, so evaluating product integrity is a primary objective. The criteria used to evaluate products are as follows:

  • Manufacturing Practices (i.e. GMP-certified facilities, independent laboratory third-party testing).
  • History of warning letters issued by the FDA.
  • Active ingredients: Applicable clinical research related to claims of benefits and safety.
  • Inactive ingredients: Safety considerations, such as allergens.

Services are evaluated based on these criteria:

  • Accessibility.
  • Value.
  • Variability of services rendered compared with competitors.
  • Quality of any products delivered.
